Hello everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I had a great time spending time with my family, working on some projects, attending a BBQ, and even clocking in a few hours at the pool! Can’t beat that!
One of my weekend projects was to turn this junk into a new and useful treasure!
In a previous post on craft booth inspiration, I mentioned the quest I am on to make my craft show display more pretty and customer friendly. One area I need to address was product display. I love displays that have varied heights. I think it adds interest to a table and helps to draw your eye in. When I saw this tutorial for a Pottery Barn 3-tiered tray knockoff I knew it would be the perfect addition to my show display!
So here is what you need:
- three metal trays in varying sizes
- 2 candle sticks
- E600
- Rust-Oleum Spray Paint- Hammered in Silver
Clean and thouroughly dry the trays and candlesticks. Spray each piece, covering both the top and bottom of each tray, and all sides of the candlesticks. I did not take a photo of this but you guys are smart. I have total confidence that you can spray paint the pieces without a photo to refer to
When you have all of the pieces painted they will look like this.
Isn’t it amazing how this paint looks just like galvanized metal? I love it!
When the pieces are dry you can begin assembling your tiered tray. Place a small amount of E600 on the bottom of one one candlestick and attach it to the center of largest sized tray. Add more E600 to the top of the candle stick and add the next tray on top.
Now here is where you have some options. Don’t you love options? You can add the next candle stick and tray to make it a three tiered tray like this!
Or you can add the last tray to the top of the second candlestick but not glue them to the other two trays. Now you have a two tiered tray and a very cute dish on a stand (sorry couldn’t come up with a better description for it).
Aren’t these cute? I can’t wait to show you what they look like on my craft table all filled up with homemade goodness! In the meantime how cute would these be at your next party filled with cupcakes, snacks, or little gifts! Lot’s of possibilities!

Pretty!!!!!!!
Thanks Heather!
This is really neat. I have some old candle sticks and was going to donate them. Not now!! Thanks.
Shara I can’t wait to see how yours turn out! It is a very easy project with fun results!
